Puppies are delightful creatures to have around. One shouldn't be fooled by cute looks though. Puppies grow up fast and need more and more attention, training and care. When one buys a dog, it's a lifetime commitment. Never buy a dog because it's a cute little thing or because it's parents look majestic. To be at it's best, a dog needs much of your time.

If you don't have it, don't get a dog to suffer from your lack of time!

We in kennel Damascus want to make sure our pups have the best possible homes. Below you can see our rules and limitations as well as your rights as an owner.

Damascus puppy for you?

Litters

Kennel Damascus doesn't usually have public litters anymore. To obtain a puppy from certain parents we expect you to be active and contact us. You can usually see our long term plans right here on these webpages, so when contacting please tell us what litter are you talking about.

Contacts are to be sent via PM in CSU forum. We do not read our E-mail so often and applications could go in vain. We don't have a certain form for you to fill but expect you to tell about yourself, your facilities, your plans for the dog and your other special things/wishes/expectations.

We do not sell dogs to "lay on the sofa"! We expect you to show your puppy in conformation or sports, agility or obedience. We hope to see puppies shown more than once, but that one time is a must. It tells us much about the dogs abilities and conformation and helps us in our future breeding. The only exception is a CAO; sometimes we can sell puppies to be just guards. These dogs are sold via non-breeding contracts; you can not breed with those dogs but are not obligated in any way to show the dog. You can have it in your family as a companion and as a guard.

Registration

We register our litters ourselves, unless stated otherwise. You are not expected to register your dog yourself, so do not send any applications! Just make sure to check the registration page often enough to see when the numbers are there.

Because we do the registration for you, we expect you to be an active owner and show the dog. If we see the puppy is not shown at all, we will contact you and ask you the reason. Don't be afraid to tell us if you at the moment have no time for shows or something like that. We do understand sometimes there is time only for taking care of the dogs due to work, school and other stuff.
Breeding

After you've purchased a puppy, it's yours. We can't tell you what to do with it, however we hope that no Damascus puppy is bred before it has a reasonable amount of CACs or points to show it's quality.

Puppies sold with a non-breeding contract are NEVER to be bred.

Returning a puppy

There are times when misjudging happens and a dog must be returned. We hold the right to take the dog back if you decide not to have it anymore. We can find a new home for the dog or keep it ourselves. When you return the puppy, all rights for the dog are returned as well. We do not return the dog back to you. If you give it up, it's a final decision.

If you feel like you want to keep the dog but don't have time for shows atm, you don't need to return it. You can always give the dog to someone to look after too, for a while, as long as the dog is not staying there. Remember, you have no right to sell the dog.

Reclaiming

We have the right to reclaim the dog if we feel like our rules are broken; the dog is bred when it shouldn't be, it's now shown at all or the template is being used to create new dogs/put into mass download.

Why did you refuse to sell to me?

In general, we sell only to people we see worth our trust. If you have returned a dog to us or broken our rules and your dog was reclaimed, you must accept that you are not considered a responsible owner in the near future.
